Credit Risk Analyst Dublin

Excellent job for an experienced Credit Risk Analyst -
Dublin based role
6 month contract (may extend)
Previous leasing or financial service experience essential
 
Based in Dublin, you will be responsible for monitoring airlines and the aviation environment and using the information gathered in a number of ways as outlined below.
 
Day to day responsibilities include -

    Analyse individual airlines in the region for the purposes of assessing their suitability for new business. Take part in the decision making process on new transactions.
    Conduct due diligence meetings
    Prepare all necessary internal approval documentation (including Credit Applications, Front Sheets etc.) for new transactions/restructured transactions. Liaise with all necessary internal departments to ensure appropriate sign-offs are received for all transactions, and participate in the Credit Committee approval process for these transactions as required.
    Continue to monitor existing customers for the purposes of ensuring that there are “no surprises” with regard to their credit quality. Prepare internal documentation required for the purposes of the internal Annual Review of facilities. Liaise with all necessary internal departments to ensure appropriate sign-offs are received for all annual reviews, and participate in the Credit Committee approval process for these reviews as required.
    Prepare ad hoc reports / notes / other papers as required
    Other credit/risk duties which may be required from time to time.

Qualifications/Skills Required -
 
Proven track record in one or both of the following would be an advantage:

    credit analysis taking a macro view of the sector as well as a micro view of an individual company/customer; and/or
    excellent knowledge of the aviation sector including knowledge of the credit quality of individual airlines and an ability to discuss the market dynamic and future shape of the airline sector in the region.

Other requirements -

    Excellent report writing skills
    Broad understanding of aviation finance and lease transaction structures (commercial debt, operating lease, sale & leaseback)
    Team player
    Ability to form and communicate reasoned opinions, and debate those opinions as required
    Good organisation / time management skills
    Excellent collaborative and communication skills, and a proven ability to influence others
    Strong problem solving, and financial skills (including an ability to read and interpret financial accounts)
    Excellent PC skills, including e-mail, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
    Willingness to travel extensively, sometimes at short notice
